What colour cladding goes with anthracite grey windows?
When it comes to cladding colours, the choice is entirely up to you and the finish you are after.
The colour combinations with anthracite grey are unlimited since you can mix and match entirely to your preference. You can add driftwood timber cladding, as its cool grey tones will complement the anthracite grey. If you would like to go darker you can opt for charcoal timber cladding instead. However, if you are feeling bold you can combine anthracite grey with our two unique colours – Lagoon, which offers a deep steel blue shade or Woodland, which offers a blend of green and grey.
What causes blue staining in timber?
Blue stain in a non-blue timber is typically a sign of fungi. It grows in sapwood and uses parts of it as its food. It is not a sign of decay, but it usually leads to infection with decay-producing fungi if left untreated.
To prevent this, IRO exterior timber cladding is finished with a protective wood cream, which makes it impervious to moisture – rather than seeping into the core of the board, water will pool on the surface. This prevents rot and algae from growing both within and on the surface of the board, allowing it to endure significantly longer than other types of timber cladding.
