The performance and discoloration of the white fascia boards are covered by a 20-year warranty and the woodgrain and smooth boards have a 10-year guarantee.
According to BS 476-7: 1997, the surface spread of flame rating for our FloPlast fascia boards is Class 2Y. The material does have a tendency to scorch and may crumble when exposed to fire, despite the fact that the spread of flame across PVC's surface is constrained. The Class 1 resistance to fire propagation and Class 1Y resistance to spread of flames specifications are both met by Freefoam fascia boards.
The roof trim system may or may not have a major impact on the overall fire performance of any roof on which it is fitted. It is crucial that the box is firestopped at compartment walls with a proprietary fire stop material where it is traditional to carry the eaves box over, between houses.

To guarantee a stable installation, all Fascia Boards should be fastened to the ends of the rafter using two 65mm Polytop nails spaced 600mm apart horizontally and vertically in line with each other. To accommodate the additional expansion of coloured boards, these mounting centres should be lowered to a maximum distance of 400mm when installing any Woodgrain, Anthracite, or Black boards.
Our Fascia Installation guides have a variety of written instructions and quick videos like the ones above. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your inquiry if you have any additional queries.
