Which adhesive should be used for PVC cladding?

Which adhesives such as silicone sealants are the perfect choice for affixing internal cladding, particularly in bathrooms and kitchens, we recommend using screws or nails for external cladding. You want something even stronger and more weatherproof for installations that have to withstand the great British weather!

How do you cut PVC cladding?

Our wood design rigid foam cladding boards can be easily cut using either a notched circular saw or a hand saw. Don’t forget to wear protective safety gear when working with saws and other cutters!

Is wood design cladding maintenance difficult?

No, on the contrary – wood design cladding is easy to maintain! Because the rigid foam material doesn’t allow for moisture absorption, you don’t need to worry about the boards rotting or warping. It’s also resistant to damage from insects.

In terms of the colour, it won’t fade like traditional timber cladding does. Because of this, you won’t need to pain, stain, or oil your wood design cladding over the years – all you need to do is give the cladding a simple clean every few months to keep it looking fresh!

How do you clean PVC cladding?

Cleaning Durasid’s wood design cladding range is easy, too. All it requires is a sponge or brush and some water, as well as a mild detergent for stubborn dirt. You can also use a pressure washer to clean Durasid cladding, with a maximum pressure of 80 bar.

How do you remove PVC cladding?

If you need to replace your Durasid cladding, follow these simple steps:

  1. Starting at the top of your installation, use a pry bar to loosen the first cladding board.
  2. Then use a reciprocating saw to cut through any nails.
  3. All you have to do then is pull the cladding board away from the wall and repeat the steps with the remaining boards!
